I thought it would be lovely to stay in Radford until I came here. My apartment had work that needed to be done on it before I moved in, but I was assured it would all be taken care of shortly after I move in (still waiting). The NOISE at night is ridiculous, and the police are called often at night due to loud parties or fighting. The apartments are OLD and very run down. Some have termites and other have mold. I haven't seen either of those, but when I moved in my apartment was infested with spiders. I still have to kill at least one day. Parking is a nightmare at times, and there have been times during the college party season, that NOT ONE parking place was able to be found in the entire complex (althought the management loves to deny it, my neighbor actually took a tour of the entire lot in his rage and filmed every lot with cars parked behind one another and so on). Another ridiculous fete was to have the maint. workers remove the overhangs over all of our doors....yeah they were rotted out, but they at least provided shelter from the rain while you were opening your door...Good job Copper Beech! I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED.

I agree, the place is falling apart. The property manager is never available, or hididng in his office and won't take calls. The maintenence used to better. But I think they lost one of the best people they had. At least when he was here things got fixed. Taking the roofs off was a big mistake because they did provide some protection from rain. Guess that just shows the amount of common sense the management has. I would not suggest anyone move in here.

Yeah taking the roofs off was really a crappy thing to do. I can bet you anything that they would never have done something so inconsiderate to the people living in the townhouses.

Are you kidding? I looked at numerous places before I found Copper Beech, and none of them was nearly so nice. The apartment is large and affordable, and I've had no problems with the property manager, Doug, or with any of the maint. staff. In fact, I put in a request for two repairs just the other day, and they were fixed in the same day. The only time I've ever really experienced it being loud here was Halloween this year, and I've only seen cop cars once or twice, and I've been here for almost two years. Occasionally I can hear the people above me, but that's to be expected in an apartment setting. I would challenge you to find any place nicer in one of the other big apartment complexes in the area.

Now you know that whoever wrote the 1/2/09 review does not live here, b/c Halloween was quiet here. REALLY quiet here for a change...The amount of dog crap on the ground is amazing. I swear people must save it up and dump it out once a month. There have been numerous complaints about that too, and suddenly last week there was a notice sent out warning people to pick up after their pets or get a fine. (Someone in management must have stepped in some). Parking for some reason seems better at the moment, but once the weather warms up the parties will begin again and the spaces will disappear. I tell you it is a great place if you want to sneak boyfriends or girlfriends in to live with you without putting them on the lease. The 2 female roomates across from me pay only about $150 per month b/c both of their boyfriends pay their share...I am thinking of having my gf move in here with me, but her place in Radford is MUCH better than mine, so I may just jet out of here in August when my lease is up and move in with her. Cheers!
