Decent Living
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 10/18/2009
Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009
I lived in Copper Beech for two years, first in a two bedroom townhome and then a three bedroom. The apartments were always nice (one of the nicest in Radford aside from the new Tyler Ave and Auburn Ave apartments but those are brand new). The maintenance staff worked hard to keep the area clean (especially Fri/Sat/Sun mornings when worthless students partied and trashed the area). People's comments on the pool - Yes it is green and full of leaves over the fall and winter...Sorry they didn't keep it clean so you could swim during these times'
The only downfall is the rent is a little steep. The townhomes are the nicest (I wouldn't even consider living in the Garden/chateau apartments). $850 without utilities gets pricey even for two people splitting it. I recently moved out this year because I needed a place with cheaper rent but I do miss the complex.
Parking could get bad over the weekends but by bad I mean having to park a minute away in a different area of the complex.
If you can afford it I would highly recommend it - the staff and landlord are friendly and fair.
