I lived here for 3 years between 1996 and 1999 with 3 other roommates during college. The apartment complex and facilites are well kept up. Washer and dryers in the apartment, and most of the complexes were built in the 1980's or later. The only bad thing I can say is that it is about an 8-10 minute walk away from the college campus (but closest place to the gymnasium, sports fields, and river) and on those cold Radford Winter days it makes it seem longer. Other than that I enjoyed my stay there. The higher numbered apt's (i.e. 100, 200, 300) are the newer and nicer ones, but the disadvantage is they're futher away. You can get furnished living rooms (sofa, chairs) and furnished bedrooms (single bed, dresser, desk) for extra $ a month. But if you don't want to lug that stuff with you then it's fine.
