I lived in Hunters Ridge the year it changed management and noticed an immediate change in the overall attitude of the community. The new management was rude and un-cooperative with existing tenants. All of a sudden we were threatened with court action and a call to our guarantor the day after rent was due, no five day grace period, no reminder. They hired a security guard who was supposed to "keep us safe" but instead became an oppressive force. He fined people who put their trash outside for five minutes to put their shoes on, for having a visting pet OUTSIDE of a 1st floor apartment for a half hour visit, for noise when it was just four roomates laughing at a comedy show...the list goes on and on. Then came rules about how and when you could pay your rent, where you could park, etc, which turned into tenants with parking stickers being constantly towed away by an aggressive towing company in Blacksburg. In a two month period I had to give five tenants with stickers a ride to Blacksburg to get their cars. And if you have a pet and think you can get away with it, think again. They let themselves in unannounced periodically to check for violations, and they check EVERYTHING. We got a bill for a broken drawer in our refrigerator that was on our move-in inspection and had to pay it because we moved in under "old management." They installed new electronic locks with a sensor key which wore out after only a couple of months and we had to pay a very hefty fee for a new one. In closing, it isn't a wonder why this property went from one of the most coveted properties in Radford with a waiting list to having to aggressively advertise to get tenants---you can't even laugh too loud!!! You would regret living here unless you hate animals, don't have any fun, and obey all rules at all times no matter what, doesn't sound like a college student to me.
