This is the worst place to live. There is NO elevator even though the buildings were built in 2000, and everyone in the complex has to walk miles to throw away their garbage and there recycling is always FULL and it is titled "mixed recycling", and your apartment smells because it is sooooo annoying to walk miles to throw it out, so people put their garbage on their deck which then makes the entire outside smell like garbage. The apartment is cheaply made and NONE OF THE WINDOWS SHUT PROPERLY, so you are heating and cooling the outdoors making the bills obnoxiously high because you re electric is flying out the windows that won't close! To make this corporation even more like Scrooge the complex tow's its own residents!!!!!!!!!! EVEN THOUGH there are SOOO many parking spaces available at ALL times. This company has a FEE for everything and their newest is a fee for having guests at your apartment, five dollars a night to have your friend stay here and if you don t get a pass by the time the office closes then you are calling the towing company and paying 150 dollars! The "gated community is always OPEN so that the towing company is free to harass those that LIVE HERE in an almost empty parking lot. This place was cheaply made and run by a corporation that is cheap, I would NEVER EVER recommend someone to live here and huff and puff up and down the stairs to an apartment that is terribly made, with the outdoors smelling like garbage and not to mention children everywhere screaming all the time, this company needs to stop being so GREEDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DONT LIVE HERE I GAURANTEE YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Which side of Archstone are you living on? Because on my side there are NO screaming kids, NO smelly garbage. What are you that lazy to walk to the front gate to throw out your trash. Who told you go pick the apartment on the far side? Don't you have to go to work in the morning, take your trash out then and quit whining. GEEZ. No elevators....oh my goodness...LAZY. I live on the 4th floor and I don't mind it. If you didn't want to walk up stairs and huff and puff who told u not to pick or wait for a ground floor apt. My windows shut quite. I will give you one thing, the gates are always open cuz they are never fixed properly. They do need to rectify that. Alot of places tow the residents if they don't keep the parking tags they give u hung up. WTF are you taking it down for? Leave it up or put it on your dash and you won't be towed. Did you ask why they implemented the $5 a night fee. Cuz people's "guests" would come in and hog up the spaces. Many of the residents could not find spots. So that's why. I've lived here since April and I have no problems with this place. Geez what a cry baby. I have to walk up stairs, I have to walk to throw out the trash.......wah wah wah.... And no I do not work for Archstone, nor am I getting paid for this review I am a resident that has to pay the full rent just like everyone else. Thank You That is all.
