I have lived here for a year now and they have bumped up my rent by $200. The gates are always open so it really is not a gated community! The staff at renting office really dont care about the current residents and are always catering to new ones. They are just COLD and RUDE. They never call back for any of the inquiries but make sure they call first thing in the morning if you are a day late for your rent payment. Total Slackers and Suckers. I am outa here.

I work in property management. I agree about the terrible rent increase but, on the flip side, it is happening everywhere, not just with Archstone. The rental market is hot right now and the corporate big whigs want to profit from it. For years the rental market was soft and companies barely tread the line for revenue. Like any market there is a boom and bust cycle. What your renewal rate is showing is the boom cycle. Rent long enough and you'll see a bust. Then your renewal rate could go down if occupancy gets bad enough.
