I had a great experience at Archstone Reston Landing. The apartments and grounds are very nice and well maintained. I love the high ceilings in the apartments. I lived in the smallest 1 bedroom apartment and I had plenty of space. The only maintenance issue I had while I was there was fixed the next day. The staff is mostly helpful and friendly. I hardly heard my neighbors at all. The parking is plentiful. Admittedly, the "gated community" is somewhat of a joke. The gates only work about half the time and it is more of a nuisance when they do work than truly securing the complex. But I felt very safe there. I don't think the gates are really necessary anyway. Overall, I had a great experience here and would recommend it. I only moved because I got married and my husband had a bigger place.
