For many years this complex had extraordinary management. Unfortunately it has been replaced by mediocre managers who do not seem to really care about resident's needs.

For example, residents are leaving junk on stairway landings. When called about it the manager promises to look into it but nothing changes. Dog waste is left laying around the site - the old manager would not have let that happen. It seems like every time I pop in to pick up a parcel at the office there is a new staff member.

The towing service here is pretty aggressive. Cars being towed off with their alarms going off and ugly confrontations in the middle of the night are not unusual. I tell my guests to just parallel park on North Shore rather than deal with the hassles and guest parking pass.

I consider the defunct pool an eyesore. Rather than leaving it as an attractive nuisance they should backfill it and plant trees.

The HVAC is an old centralized system where there is a heat / AC changeover.

On the good side:

Maintenance has been great.

Even with the new utility billing system, the centralized system means you get utilities at a good rate. Utility bills have been running around $75-100 per month per person.

The assigned parking spaces mean you will always have a spot reasonably close to your door.

The rerouted dryer vents to the outside are working out well.

It is a good deal in terms of $ per square foot.

The masonry construction is sturdy and fire resistant.

In conclusion, I have lived here for 3 years but am pricing out alternatives before renewing my lease.
