I lived at Charter Oak apartments for several years. For the first few years the management was great but was replaced about a year ago. Since that time it has been managed poorly with staff coming and going. There has been little attention paid to the control of residents pets and waste management. The appearance is beginning to degrade. Parking is becoming a big problem and sticker enforcement is not monitored as in the past. Also the management is not monitoring or enforcing the apartment occupation limits properly so there has been some tenants who are exceeding these limits.

The maintence staff have been doing a good job however with response to repairs fairly quickly. There have been some efforts made to help improve the conditions of apartments such as venting dryers to the outdoors to help with mold problems and sealing of airducts but ventilation remains a problem with smoke and cooking smells from apartments filtering into other units.

I plan to try to find another apartment with better management.
