Pros:

1. Large apartments - most 1BR's I've seen in other complexes are between 700-800 square feet; mine was 960.
2. Lots of natural light - the dining room and living room each have floor-length windows. Some of the bedrooms have floor-length windows as well.
3. Lots of closet space.
4. Apartments are in good condition.
5. Apartment complex is within walking distance of Reston Town Center, and there is a bus stop right at the complex.

Cons:
1. Maintenance issues can sometimes take a long time to get resolved. This has been my most major complaint over the last year and some months. Staff came in repeatedly to fix my dishwasher and claimed they fixed it each time. I kept insisting that dirty water was backing up into my dishwasher even though I wasn't even using it (because I'd decided it wasn't worth the effort to fix it), and they said you would have to be using it in order for that problem to occur. Finally I talked to the maintenance manager who thought of a possible reason; when they came in to fix the gasket around the dishwasher door (it was leaking onto my floor), they actually saw the dirty water, took a look at what the manager thought it might be, and that FINALLY fixed it. Now my dishwasher actually works - 1.25 years after I move in.
2. I haven't had any problems with rodents or pesky bugs - the only thing that I keep seeing is crickets, which are apparently hard to completely get rid of, even though I've called to have the pest control company come in once a week for 3 weeks (they will provide this service if you ask). I did live in a ground floor apartment, but still.

Overall, I honestly do think these apartments are a good deal. It's a LOT of space for a decent price; yes, the maintenance issues are a bit annoying, but there are varying problems in any complex.
