These apartments are a marginally good value UNTIL YOU FACTOR IN UTILITIES. This community has some sort of central boiler/central AC where you have to basically split your utilities with everyone in the building. They do NOT ITEMIZE how many units of gas/electricity/water are used and what the rates are. You simply get a bill and basically you have to pay it. Of course they did not tell you until lease signing that you are forced to subsidize the utility consumption of your neighbors.
My utility bills have gone up SIGNIFICANTLY every month and I live alone and conserve. The bill I got today said that my share of the Gas was $80. I NEVER TURNED MY STOVE ON FOR THE LAST 4 MONTHS.
I honestly think it is illegal not to itemize your utility rates, but who has time to fo to the county and pursue that'
I cannot WAIT TO GET OUT OF HERE ....
I will be videotaping the condition of the place when I leave because I am sure they will want to hit me for carpet and mine is in the same condition I left it in.
It was a mistake to move here. Other than the utilities it is not so bad. Increasingly there are some shady looking neighbors as well.
