Do Not Live Here

I lived at this location for a little over one year. I do NOT recommend living here. You can hear your neighbors through the walls and floors. If they play music or their TV at all hours of the night you will hear it clearly in your apartment. The office staff is not helpful at all, and at times is rude and insulting. I had a noise problem with a neighbor and the office staff was not concerned at all that I was having to call the police for noise disturbances, nor were they were interested in helping me solve this issue. The fitness center was fine the first few months I lived there, but then everything started to break. I do not know if this was ever fixed as I joined a gym after the seat on the weight machine I was using collapsed while I was sitting on it (I am a very petite person). The quality of the apartment was not even worth all the trouble with the neighbors and the office staff. I had a newly renovated apartment but the only thing that was actually nice was the granite counter tops they had installed. The handle to the balcony broke off the second time I used it. The closet door came off the first time I closed it. And the wall would come off in pieces if I ever tried to use a cloth and clean it.
There are many other apartments around the same price range that are of a much higher quality with a friendly staff that will take your concerns seriously. I would never recommend this complex as a good place to live!

*some additional comments after receiving some "friendly" feedback. I asked my neighbors many times (multiple times a week for months) to not play their 2 TVs and radio at all hours of the night. I called the police for noise disturbances only when my neighbor was being so loud they could not even hear me banging on their door to talk to them. The office staff was informed of all of this and yet I received no helpful assistance from them.

Did you ever ask your neighbor pleasantly to be quiet after ten? Or did you just call the police? It IS an apartment. I put up with noise on a regular basis, but I don't get ridiculous about, as I know people are just trying to live their lives. Why did you rent there in the first place if there are so many other 'better' options? .... And I would go around telling alot of people the weight bench crumbled when you sat on it lmao :~D

To the first responder, Do you work for Colvin Woods? Because there is no other reason you would defend the complex, considering the number of collaborating negative responses (about noise, crappy equipment, etc). The bench broke when I, weighing 145 lbs, sat on the bench. Its not like I'm breaking chairs left and right. 145 lbs should not be breaking anything designed to be sat on while lifting weights. I didnt know about the 'better' options until after. When I signed, they had just taken on new management. The management (and the reviews beforehand) were good, and it was cheaper than it is now, so I rented it. Now that the price has increased, and its been discovered that management/maintenance/equipment is crap, I say there are better options. So again, why are you defending the place unless you have stake in colvin woods? This site is for renters, not for owners.
