While the layout of the rooms is good and large, the windows are new, and the heating and ac work excellently, the location is great with lots of trees and close shopping (we are also on a 3rd floor end unit, so noise is minimal), there are many shortcomings to living here.

We were put through the Great Inquisition to move into this place, having to get co-signers with 4 people's salaries totaling 2ooK just to move in (and our credit is not that bad). In our building, there are landscapers (who track dirt from their boots all over) and TWO families with 5 children living below us. I DOUBT they went through the same problems that we did, and I doubt that they earn a comprable salary.

After a year of paying our rent on time, they raised it $40.00 a month, not even taking into account that we had to pay extra money each month because we wanted new carpet put in.

The building is roach infested. There are birds that build nests in the eaves and then you have to walk through all of their droppings. There has been a broken window on the ground floor of one of the apartments since we moved in, and management said that they must not be able to afford to repair it. Again, if they "qualified" to live there, that shouldn't be a problem.

The parking lot always has litter in it and huge oil spills from cars that are in disrepair. Only one assigned parking spot, and they will tow your car in a heartbeat if you don't have an apartment sticker or visitor pass. Landscaping is MINIMAL and unattractive--not one flower in the whole place, except for in front of the rental office. Laundry rooms are not that clean and neighbors always leave clothes in for days, and they are expensive.

We also think that maintenance people have been coming into our apartment unannounced when we are gone. We never lock the door knob--only the dead bolt, and on several occasions, we have come home to both being locked. Nothing seemed to be missing, but it's still disconcerting.

The staff in the leasing office are all business, very cold, and pretty unfriendly if you ask me.

The only reason I signed a new lease is that I don't want to move again before I buy a house next year.

We had to move very quickly and this was the first place I went, but I'm sure if you look around you can find a better place for the same amount of rent.
