As I take a look at some of these other reviews, I feel like I don't live in the same development as all these other people. I'm pretty happy in my unit--it's spacious, the utilities are included, and I have a great relationship with the people in the rental office. They are in the middle of making substantial upgrades to the apartments, including the addition of washers and dryers in each unit, as well as the installation of a keypad-entry mechanism for each building. Within the next year, there will be a pool in the community.

I have learned that snow removal is sufficient, and trash pickup is frequent enough (unless someone moves and throws everything they own away...but hey -- it happens).

I have never complained about noisy neighbors, although occasionally there are those who have music up late at night or can't keep their dogs from barking at odd hours. I haven't noticed that people leave their laundry for days. But if they did, I wouldn't blame the management. I'd blame the neighbors. These folks aren't our parents.

That said, I like it here at Fairway. It's convenient to the best part of Reston, as well as to the W&OD bike trail. It's reasonably priced, and the management team is genuinely friendly if you treat them in kind.
