Pros:
-Cheap rent & no frills; nothing here in the way of amenities like a pool, fitness center, etc., just pay for the apartment. Rent includes electric and gas, too.
-Great location: walking distance to Reston Town Center, W&OD bike trail, Dulles Toll Rd. Getting around by public transportation, bicycle, or on foot is very convenient.
-Maintenance staff is quick to respond to repair requests.
-Ample parking.
-Spacious.

Cons:
-Ugly on outside; it's an old apartment complex, built in the early '70s I think.
-Somewhat shoddy construction on inside; toilet tank from upstairs apartment would occasionally leak into our bathroom & master bedroom, sliding door to balcony won't lock, flat paint used on walls gets dirty easily & can rip off when removing posters stuck to the walls.
-Cockroaches; not swarms of them, but more than a few, and multiple sprayings never got rid of them.

Overall, I was very satisfied with the place. Living there with a roommate, it was totally adequate and I was able to save tons of money. Since I moved in, they started renovating the place, re-doing the kitchens and putting a washer/dryer in each unit (I was using a washer/dryer shared by 6 apartments), so it's probably a little more expensive now, but still worth a look.
