Summit Reston

 

Just moved in last week.

My one bedroom apt is pretty nice.

Premium for bedroom bay window and fireplace as well as 2nd floor.

Very quiet outside, but sound travels easily between unit above and unit below mine.

Bedroom apparently never had a tennant using the cable outlet before me, Comcast installer upgraded it, no problem.

High bandwidth area for cable modems too.

Several friends live close by, all get great throughput, yet to test mine.

I do not recommend DSL anywhere.

Cable outlets were not where *I* would like them, just had installer leave lots of coax to run where I want my TVs.

Never have a problem parking close to the entrance of my building.

Privacy seems good, trees between my windows and almost any other apartment in the complex.

Good layout, can not see balconies next door (same building) from any window.

Was apartment shopping for a while before I took this one.

The $250/mo discount (moved in within 10 days of unit being available) brought my unit down to $1025 $6/mo trash fee.

Just about everyplace else in north FFX county ends up being around the same price after fees/etc.

but these are much nicer than other $1000/mo one bedrooms in Reston/Herndon.

Full size washer and dryer in unit.

Stumbling distance to the bars in the town center too ;-)
