So, You Think You Get What You Pay For'

The location of this place is the only thing that would make it worth the price. And even then, that is if you like getting stuck at RTC because all the streets are closed off for an event.
The amenities seem amazing, and well, I guess they would be, if you could access them. First, it is just bad design. The pool is too small and contantly packed. Everytime I went up during the summer, there were no chairs and very little ground space. The pool itself was even worse. The gym would be okay, but it is pretty small for such a large building. Unless you want to wait for an hour to use a machine, it is pretty much worthless, as well. The movie room is usually occupied by someone watching TV. If you want to use it, you have to pay to do so, even though, in theory it is "open" to the community. The game/lounge room has a pool table with no cues and no balls and nothing else but some chairs that badly need a good cleaning.
And it takes months to get anything done.i There was some damage in my unit upon my move-in date. It was scheduled to be repaired no less than two weeks after I moved in. After 6 months of phone calls, it finally got done, at a very inconvenient time for me. And yes, I asked about another date, and I was rudely told that if I wanted it done, that was the only available time. When the windows were washed, it took two months to get the screens put back in, which were the nicest two months of the year. So, windows had to be kept closed during that period.
There is plenty of parking in the under-ground lot. However, there is an extra charge for anything beyond one space. The door is broken a lot though, and then it becomes a community garage by default and it gets difficult to find a space. Also, it is not very secure and there have been a couple of incidents of robberies and break-ins in the year I spent there.
Noise is another issue. The walls are paper thin and I can hear everything my neighbors do, whether upstairs, across the hall or next door. I even know their names and most of them I've never met. On windy days, you can hear it in the vents.
The quality of materials used in the apartments is low. The washer/dryer combo is cheap and can barely handle a full load. The floor tiles were installed incorrectly, making them uneven. The grout wasn't protected, so everything stains it.
The front desk people are the only good thing about this place (and don't confuse them with the property managers...if you can get a hold of them, they are rude).

It seems obvious that "eyelivetheretoo2" must be someone who works in the front office as they know about the number of complaints and what the complaints are. What resident has that same type of indepth knowledge of what the complaints are. What a way to show how you handle complaints... with disdain that anyone could have a complaint and responding by saying the person with a complaint is lazy and (by implication) overweight because they dont like to go further and don't use the gym.
This just illustrates that the people in the front office are not worth your time. I understand that it is probably not fun to hear people complain all day about what you might not think is justified, but that is what you signed up to do. If you don't like it, find another job but don't take to the internet on apartmentratings.com and make the property you work for look bad because you have an attitude problem.

Well, I can see how some might think that I work in the building because of what I said. The reality is all I ever hear from my neighbors in the building is how bad everything is here. I personally like living here and the people who work here. It's my own fault for signing up for notifications of replies to my review so I see all the things other people say. Won't happen again!
