Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
If you need short term, they have it. Our rent is higher than a 1 year lease because we signed 3 month leases while we searched for a house.
If you like quiet, take the top floor as the floors squeak a little when people walk. but if you already live in an apartment, it may not bother you.
The people who live there are ok.
As for the management: mixed feelings.
If you have an issue, you can generally get it resolved, but you have to stay on them. We were there for 7 months and we had maintenance had to visit our unit no less than 12 times. We have paperwork to prove it. (The maintenance people have to leave a form notifying you that they were in your unit.)
Some of the policies there are a little questionable i.e. if the trash dumpsters are full, and you set your trash bag on the ground by the dumpster, you may be fined. Disclaimer: I like dogs. But there should be some limit on the size of a dog allowed to live in an apartment. They have no limit. When a 70 pound dog runs across the floor, it sounds like a child running.
Some of the buildings face a lake with a thin tree/shrub line...nice view, possible safety issue'
Bottom line: If you need somewhere to crash for a short period of time and you are definitely moving to a nice place...try it on a short term lease.
But if you are looking at a year or more, ask some of the people who live there, what they think of the propert
