Moving into Waterside Apartments is by far the worst nightmare mistake I have ever made in my entire life! The calibers of people who reside in this trash dump ghetto are half the problem. Management is the other half of the problem.

The caliber of residence who live here?loud, trashy, uneducated, inconsiderate immigrants and ghetto trash that have absolutely no consideration for anyone but themselves. If you are a professional with a decent career, DO NOT MOVE INTO WATERSIDE APARTMENTS!!!!!! That is unless you can operate on absolutely no sleep for weeks at a time. Built in the late 1980?s, the walls are paper-thin, the electricity goes out on a regular basis, every floorboard squeaks, and the roof is caving in. In my top floor apartment I can actually see the galvanized steel nails holding the wooden roof framework together coming through my apartment ceiling. Every closet door, cabinet door, and electrical plug faceplate in my apartment is hung crooked. And I?m not talking a little crooked! I?m talking a lot crooked!

Because the walls are paper thin, you can hear every thing your neighbor is doing (talking, coughing, sneezing, making love, showering, going to the bathroom). And if you can hear them, you?d better believe they can hear you! No privacy at all. Night hours between 11pm and 5am (the supposed ?quiet time?) are filled with poor trash tenets coming home from closing the local bars, yelling, swearing, blaring stereos, slamming doors, and banging around in their kitchens in attempts to make ?drunk? food before they pass out. And this is on a weeknight. These people don?t even make the slightest effort to be quiet and respectful of their neighbors. Not even the slightest effort ever! One of my neighbors asked a group of drunks to be quiet at 3am and they answered by flipping him off and yelling, ?Go @#$%&*! Yourself!? He had to call the police. The police have been called to this dump too many times to count. One couple that lived in the same building as I do used to get drunk all night long and around 4am they would get into these drunken screaming matches. Just recently the management told me another resident was being legally evicted by because of excessive complaints about domestic violence. Also, the Animal Control had to be contacted because of another resident abusing their dog. The people put their dog out on their balcony at night and would take off, leaving the dog to bark its head off for hours at a time until the resident came back home at 2am or whenever. We all had to listen to the barking all night for hours on end every time this happened. The few normal residents, who were unfortunate enough to get locked into a lease before they knew how bad this place was, spend as little time as possible here. If your stupid enough not to heed warnings and you move in here you?d better have a second home, a friend?s house to crash at, or a hotel you can go to just to get a decent night?s sleep.

Laundry?it takes four hours in the drier just to get anything close to dry. Most of the time I end up hanging things up all over the apartment till they dry. The washer has destroyed more then one load of my favorite clothes.

Immigrants here cook curry ALL THEY TIME and it stinks up EVERYTHING!!!! Because the apartment doors are hung crooked, there is a gap that the stench seeps into. Because their main method for cooking is a hibachi, my neighbors have almost burnt down the building three times that I know of. One time I came home from work only to see my neighbor and his two kids on the stairway fanning thick black smoke out of their apartment. Great! So now the smoke is all over my apartment. According to Virginia?s state law and fire code outdoor grilling on patios and balconies of structures made primarily of wood, is prohibited. Yet this goes on all the time. Every nice day the guy on the first floor sparks up his grill and uses a ton of lighter fluid. The fumes and stench make their way up to my apartment and if my windows are open, y entire apartment stinks of light fluid fumes the whole day. Also, the person who lives below me smokes on his balcony ALL THE TIME, so that means my apartment stinks like cigarette smoke too. It has even seeped into my closet and stunk up my clothes.

The garbage collection did not come by for over a month and the trash piled up at all of the dumpsters. It not only looked terrible, but the stench was horrific. Not only that, there was no place to put your trash bags when you went to take out your garbage. The dumpsters were full, so you couldn?t put it there. And the management threatens to fine people up to $200 dollars if you just set your trash bag next to the dumpster. It has to be put inside the dumpster. So now what' I?m supposed to pile the rotting garbage up in my apartment'!

Hellhole ghetto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
