This building is unsafe. They employ less than competent security. The parking area is a car thief’s dream come true. Please review the crime statistics for this neighborhood before even speaking with anyone from the rental office. When I was a resident the safety concerns became so bad that building management distributed flyers that warned residents to avoid traveling alone outside the property. Moving to this building can literally ruin or end your life. Please DON'T RISK IT.

I have lived in the building for a few years and am a single young woman. I have never feared for my safety. If you go down to the river by yourself away from the building and through the trees, then you're on your own. But in parking my car and walking to the building, I have never even blinked an eye. Use whatever caution you would normally use in a city.But I am just a young, single, white woman - what do I know?

Check the statistics online, or ask the Richmond Police, don't just take someone's word, the risk is to great. It seems as if employees (some of which are also residents) are replying to these ratings. When I lived at the towers there was never this kind of tenant support. By the way I'm estatic that your white "rivertowersperson", does that make your opinion somehow more credible than mine. This is typical of Weinstein Mgmnt.

I don't know of anyone whose car was ever stolen here, but my apartment is right above the parking lot, and not a night goes by where I don't hear a window break. People have scraped my car because of the off street parking and there's barely ample parking spaces. Sometimes, I would have to park my car blocks away from the apartment, which is not a safe thing to do at night! So why not get a paid parking spot? Well because, I do not want to pay over $60 a month for a fenced parking space where sometimes the gate won't even work!!!

I lived and worked at River Towers for serveral years myself. First of all River Towers never claims to have security, they are simple front desk workers like any other business that you go to with 24 hour STAFF. Second of all HELLO PEOPLE, WE ALL LIVE IN GHETTO RICHMOND of course there is crime, drunks, bums, students, white people, balck people, purple people, come on now, just because you rent doesn't mean that you get to blame everything on who owns the building. I ask you who are you going to blame when you buy a house...your mortgage company! Please why don't you all grow up and know that you live in ghetto Richmond!
