I??ve lived in the River Towers for 3 years and the property is definitely declining. More and more students are moving in. Now, it??s comparable to living in a VCU dormitory. While the views are spectacular and the rents affordable, the negative issues have surpassed the positive. The management staff, while extremely nice, is not competent enough to handle the issues recurring issues. The maintenance staff do not have the skillset needed to maintain such an old property. Many of their repairs only last temporarily. Residents and/or guests vomiting in the elevators from a night of drinking; residents allowing their pets to urinate in the elevators; air conditioning periodically going down during the hottest days of summer (every year); graffiti carved onto the walls of the elevators; elevators not working; setting off fire alarms by releasing the fire extinguishers. There are rules to prevent these occurrences, however, the front desk staff does little to enforce them or reprimand residents when incidences are reported. The parking is herendous. You??ll almost have to park a block away if you don??t pay for a reserved space ?? which can cost upwards of $50/month. Many of the issues would be solved if the management staff would install cameras on hallways and elevators. Instead, they continue to let this property go down. If you are looking to recapture your youth by living in a dorm like setting??than this property is for you. However, if you are over 25??find somewhere else to live.

Affordable with spectacular views and a friendly staff. Yes, I suppose that is true. So far as I can tell the property is wondefully maintained and the residents are friendly and clean. I'm wondering if you're talking about >this< River Towers?
