2000 Riverside Apartments (formerly River Towers), a Weinstein Properties complex should be called "Leaky Towers". Maintenance in the building is terrible. There are leaks throughout the building. Maintenance is constantly painting the ceiling tiles in the lobby to hide the water marks. The apartments were poorly "renovated" a few years ago... cable wires run along the outside of the walls. Don't try to wash a spot off the walls or trim as the cheap paint will just come off on your sponge! No one has ever cleaned the drains or traps in this building, built in the 1960's.

There are all kinds of security issues at the bulding. Apartments have been broken into - violence occurs on the street outside the building and vehicles have been stolen from the "secured" fenced-in parking lot which tenants pay an additional $40 to use. So much for surveillance cameras! Management's policy is to conceal these incidents from the tenants.

As poor as the maintenance in the building is, the property management is even worse. The property manager uses "intimidation" to scare the tenants, many of whom are VCU students from foreign countries with limited understanding of English. The corporate office, Weinstein Properties, as well as the president and VP (------------------------------- and her husband, ------------) are "unavailable" at all times and will not return email, telephone calls or voice messages. They just ignore all contact by the tenants.

Do not be fooled by the information provided by the leasing agents - it is their job to talk everyone and anyone into leasing an apartment at 2000 Riverside. There are many better deals throughout Richmond!

Miserable building... poor maintenance... even worse management! Weinstein Properties is not "open and honest" as they proclaim on their website (www.weinsteinproperties.com). Just try to speak to ------------------------------------, ------------. If you have decent credit, look elsewhere... there are plenty of great apartments throughout Richmond and they are NOT managed by Weinstein Properties!
