My sister just used this site to help her find an apartment in the west-end, and i was impressed, so i wanted to look see what was here about MY HOME 2000 Riverside, OMG, i was shocked and appalled at the things being said. So lets set the record straight.
1. i have lived here for almost 20 years, have lived and watch the building and the neighborhood evolve. it is 500% better than 15 years ago !! Houses in the neighborhood have been renovated, the James River Park has been cleaned up.

2. its an old building and i have seen huge upgrades to air/heat, elevators, security, and overall appearance of the building. let me tell ya looking back 10 to 15 years ago, wow, this place has come along way for the better !!

3. The Management... i have had a great relationship with all of them!! past and present. If i had an issue with anything is was taken care of in a friendly professional manner. if you are nice to people ...you get nice back. works the other way also.Event he people at the corporate office know who i am, (makes ya feel good.)
if you park in a non-parking zone you will be towed, if you leave your laundry in washer overnight, who knows what might happen, common since, and common courtesy !

4. we here at the towers are a very unique community and i have called my home for almost 20 years ! i have been to other high rise buildings w/apartments, and its not The Towers, messy, loud, not friendly, not home......cant think of living anywhere else.......
5. MY HOME has a awesome view of the river and the city scape, right across the river from downtown and I95 and I64 very near, 15 mins from west end,10 mins from Carrytown, good shops on Forest Hill ave, James River Park System, Browns Island, Bel-ile (The Rocks),Jogging Trails,Bike Trails, just a cool place ! We have a pool and soon a roof deck!

so yes come live here!

Clearly, this person's apartment has not been flooded out like others have experienced... nor has this person been trapped in the old elevators... nor has this person's car been broken into in the "secure" parking lot... nor has this person seen maintenance spray-painting the ceiling tiles in the lobby area to hide the water marks... not has this person noticed the dirty floors, elevators, trash rooms and hallways... nor has this person noticed the constant pile of rubbish beside the garbage dumpsters... nor has this person experienced the "wrath" of the property manager, when challenged. I am glad that this person has lived here for 20 years (1996 to 2009 is 13 years by my math) and if they so desire, they are welcome to remain here another 20 years. Perhaps, this is the only place the person can qualify to live. (Almost anyone with any kind of credit history can get "qualified" at 2000 Riverside Towers. Management lowers the rent and then adds on the additional utility fees to help people qualify.) The residents have consistently changed from professionals to primarily students. If it is such a wonderful place, why is there such a high turnover rate? Last week, eight apartments were vacated. Too bad that during the 20 years (13 years)that the person lived here, they apparently stayed in their apartment enjoying the view and missing everything else going on at 2000 Riverside. Perhaps management gave this person a deduction in their rent to write a positive review - just like management "compensated" some of the irate residents for the inconvenience experienced during the recent roof renovations. (BTW, it is "Belle Isle"... not "Bel-ile".)

ya know this is not face book, if you have a personal war with the the management, then take it up with them, do not attack me because of your bad luck, bad luck happens everywhere not just here, you talk if this place is a slum or something, you chose to live here, no one made you do it. you say i just stay in my apartment and look at the view, it is clear to me you only sit in your apartment and complain about your life choices..... Anonymous ! and BTW....the site only goes back as far as 1996...Bel-ile is old richmond way of spelling it !.. why are so bitter and want to lash out at everyone !!!???
