I have lived here for about 2 years and 4 months and have liked the place.

The apartments are nicely done, maintenance (if ever needed) is quick and all the usual amenities available.

Location is pretty good and with tons of shops coming up, it is only expected to get better. The whole of West End is safe so that is nothing much to write about.

I did manage to get a pretty good deal but with the housing market down, rental rates are picking up and this place is getting expensive.

The apartments are still not quite as 'nice' as the Twin Hickory ones but the price differential makes up for it.

On particularly annoying thing (which is a design flaw I guess) is that the airconditioning doesnt really seem to affect the guest bedroom in the 2-bed apartments. So the person using that room is likely to remain hot in summers and cold in winters. Also, I have noticed somewhat of a silverfish problem (I wouldnt rate it as infestation, plus management is quick to respond to requests.)

As far as assigned parking goes, there is SO much of open free parking available that you have to be an idiot or really lazy to even ask for assigned parking. I have never ever had to park more than 150 feet from my apartment. No wonder their 'tow' guy may not be quick.

Management behavior is also great and they are very pleasant. Overall a pretty nice place to live in for the money, as long as they dont jack it up too far. If they do so, look elsewhere.
