I lived here for almost 2 years before I purchased a home. My mother also rented a unit at Addison. I moved here from Miami, FL to be closer to family. I lived on the 3rd floor top level and I didn't like the noise I could hear from the main bedroom. For some weird reason, the main bedroom which has its own bathroom is SMALLER than the 2nd bedroom. My husband and I decided to use the guest room as our bedroom because it was slightly bigger. You have to pay EXTRA if you want to have a washer/dryer in your unit.

One feature we greatly disliked was the fact that you have to bring your garbage to the 1 garbage disposal on the property. And if you don't live close to the garbage disposal, you have to drive to it with your garbage in the car. Plus, the disposal was often overflowing with garbage and it was just a big pain. They should have a garbage disposal close to every building. I also thought about the elderly and those who are not able to carry their own garbage. We had to take out my mom's garbage as well and she lived in the building across from us.

If you are planning on moving, don't sign a 1-year lease. Sign up for the 6-8 month lease if you are planning to move. If you break your lease for any reason, you are liable for paying the rent due for the remaining period on your lease.

The maintenance man gave me the creeps BIG time. He was overly friendly and loved to STARE and he just seemed to be everywhere. And I dreaded running into him.

PROS: the location. Close to the highway, shopping and everything you need. Apartments are clean and the closet space is not bad. I'm glad the apartment had a little balcony where I liked to read and my apartment had the pool view. The office staff were very nice and friendly. However, there seemed to be a quick turn around with their staff.

Another CON: the air conditioner in one of the bedrooms was VERY weak. When we complained, the maintenance guy said to close some of the other vents so the air would flow to that bedroom and he said other tenants complained about this same problem.

Another CON: the windows are VERY weak. On rainy and/or windy days, you could hear the wind howling LOUD and you would think the windows would bust.

I just thought of ANOTHER CON... you have to buy your own microwave. The apartments are not equipped with microwaves which I found very strange.
