Although I do not live there (I live in Valdosta). I have been at Amber Ridge several times visiting my friend, who is the apartment manager, and her friends and family, who live in the Richmond Area.
I find the apartment complex to be managed very professionally. Any maintenance problems that may arise are dealt in an expediate manner.
The manager is very friendly, and outgoing. Something rarely found in apartment managers.
Recently (Dec 06) they had a Christmas decorating contest, and several monetary prizes were handed out, based on apartment size. The one I live in now, has had only two contests, and I have been there six years.
The complex has undergone a facelift on the outside of the buildings, and remodeling of the interiors will be started in the future.
The roads have been resurfaced, and new speed bumps have been installed.
Amber Ridge is located very close to shopping and a medical center.
I would DEFINATELY recommend this apartment to anyone who wishes to rent there.

It was an unbiased account. Probably should have left that remark out, but, what the heck. Now that I live there now, my opinion of the complex hasn't changed. It was cleaned prior to me moving in, as all the units are cleaned prior to new tennants moving in.
Well, have you noticed that the laundry room is a lot cleaner than it was before? That is if you are one of the tennants. It receives cleaning daily. All washers and dryers are wiped down, and the floors are vacuumed (Swifter Sweeper/Vac unit). Also the floors are mopped.
The location of the complex is great. I can walk down to the shopping center, or even to the library.
