I lived at Broadmorr for almost a year and generally it's a nice complex. Good mix of people, more interesting design that your standard apartments, convenient to Broad St., etc.

HOWEVER -- and in my estimation, this is HUGE -- they need to greatly improve their maintenance response.

My water heater began running out of hot water before the end of my shower, so I reported that it needed to be repaired or replaced. Their response' To turn up the temperature.

A few days later, it started leaking -- after office hours, of course. I called the so-called "24 hour" number and, though someone answered, no one came. I made a total of three calls that night, and despite the fact that I made it clear there was an active water leak, no one showed up until the next day.

Then, after living there for eight to nine months and using the in-apartment washer regularly, it started to malfunction and bang violently during the spin cycle as when the laundry is out of balance, but it wasnt' the laundry, it was the machine.

I reported this condition five times. Each time, a maintenance person came while I was at work, ran the washer (without clothes) and decided I hadn't balanced the clothes. After the first call/visit, I left my work phone and requested that someone call me so I could explain, but no one ever called.

Finally, I took time from work and went in on my lunch hour to talk to the property manager in person. After that, they finally accepted that I knew what I was talking about and replaced the until...but it took five calls, a personal visit, and a month's delay. It should not have.
