This is a nice place to live in an older section of town. The area is mostly single family houses, so it's quiet, and the traffic is low off once you're away from Patterson Avenue. Plenty of nearby businesses: grocery, bank, PO, CVS, fast food and other restaurants. Parking is adequate, although neighbors can be inconsiderate when their friends visit, allowing them to take prime spaces. Dog curbing and cats let out at night are also issues. Fortunately most of the residents are working people with manners, so loud parties and the like are minimal. The biggest problem here is that the buildings are old: aged wiring, so DSL access is impossible (cable/satellite is easily acquired,) dated countertops and appliances, and just used up stuff. In the last few years, the company changed hands, and the rents have spiked, but Wilton is still affordable. If you don't mind a little "character" in your home, this is a good bargain for the West End.
