I lived at Coliseum lofts during the last school year. I had a pretty good experience. I found the apartment to be one of the best in the fan area. After 2 years of renting apartment in the fan district I found a CLEAN APARTMENT! I lived on Grace Street before and had to put up with bums sleeping in my stairwells, bugs, and just stuff that stayed broken. When I moved into Coliseum lofts I got a one bedroom. The apartment was clean and they even had a little gift bag (even if it was a little bit corny). Maintenance was always really nice, I thought it was cool that alot of the staff lived there. overall i think it was a really good deal.(they have free cable.... ) If you are going to go to vcu and don't want to live in a dorm this place is good, b/c you dont have to drive in from the west in or live in a sketchy apartment in the fan.

I think you do not know where to look to find a good apartment in the fan. You obviously lived on the 1100 block of Grace street. Other places in the fan are not like that. Was it hard coming up with the $850 a month for an 800 square foot apartment?
