I've lived in Colonial for over two years now and have been very happy there. They are a little weak in the maintenance department, but for the rest it is a good place to live. The grounds are beautiful and well landscaped and the price is just high enough to keep out most of the scumbags and lowlife that live in the apartments over on Chamberlayne.

They also offer great deals for students and are close to VCU and Virginia Center Commons.

this has got to be someone in the rental office because this is totally a lie. These apartments are the worst they just had a shooting on the news. There is a lot of crime that goes on in this neighborhood. Also the inside of the apartments are old and in need of an upgrade. Management changes on a regular basis and the staff changes on a regular as well. I lived in Colonial for 3 years I had to call the BBB because they were not repairing things propewrly and the roaches were just terrible. If you are looking for a cheap place to stay with crime and roaches and old fixtures then you will want to go here.
