You know when I moved in here this place was so nice. The Raddison next door and the Jefferson right up the street--pretty good place in Richmond to live. Short walk to the campus! Now I read all of these posts and wonder where these people live--could it possibly be the same building I lived in' Well I guess I am one of the lucky ones. Yes there were some problems but everywhere there are people--there will be a few problems. Basicly I think Trolley Square was a safe place to live and yes it is getting a little old--most places in town are. I saw someone say on here to live at the Berkshire--well my apartment used to face that place and believe me it is looking pretty rough on the outside--not a palace at all! The Berkshire has this rule that your family can't pay your rent--if you don't have your own income or live on wellfare--ya can't live there. I moved out of Trolley last summer and it is just hard to believe that this place could have possible gone down hill as much as is posted on here--but maybe it has. Check it out for yourself. Why not walk around other floors besides the ones that the office wants you to see. Are there smells, trash, dogs, noisey people, bums--see for yourself. That is all I can tell you. I do know that I looked at Monroe Park before this place and believe me --that place doesn't even have carpet that you would want to walk barefoot on--old and worn down to the padding. It is replaced like every 10 years. Their patios were covered with some kind of outside carpet and full of pigeon poop--not good. When I went to visit the outside door was locked--good I thought--NOT--a student yelled and told me to stick any credit card in the door and it will open for you'' Well--I did what they said and my Sears card let me right in the front door--scary don't ya think''' So Monroe Park isn't better than Trolley Square.
