how can you live with yourself

I thought I had seen it all until the night the apartment above mine caught on fire. The trolley folks called it an "accident" when the resident had repeatedly complained about electricity problems and even another small fire that took place in his room. My room completely flooded with water that the FD pumped into his burning room. The best part is THERE WAS NO ALARM SYSTEM to warn me that the building was on fire! THERE IS STILL NO ALARM SYSTEM. Residents were going door to door to try to get people out. I only found out because I heard his window explode from the heat. All my stuff was ruined and all trolley did was pat themselves on the back for managing to put the fire out - basically a big go screw yourself to me.
*****If you live there you better pay attention to the fire extinguishers in each hallway because one night you might need them to fight your way out of the burning building!

AHAHAHAHAA. The fire extinguisher comment made me laugh. I've been reading reviews on this place after the fact that I moved in and I have a lease which will last me to July of 2009.. YIPPIE! I moved in yesterday and I have to tell everyone, nothing in my apartment was right the first time around.. I had many roommates living with I had so many that I could give you all their names by threes (Roaches). After I started moving in my furniture I complained about my AC/Heater not working and the out of control bug problem and they made me move ALL of my furniture out of my room to another apartment for 2 weeks! I moved all my stuff in last weekend back to my apartment to find more problems.. I lightly bumped into the towel rod in my bathroom and the whole thing broke apart like I had just beated it with a hammer. The carpet is new, but was not tacked or pulled properly from one floor to the other. My bathroom sink wasn't draining properly so I had to fix that. My garbage disposal wasn't working properly so that's on the list to be fixed. The refrigerator isn't working properly so that's on the list to be fixed. And my biggest concern is the window. It doesn't latch properly and is missing a screen and cord to pull back in the window. I can honestly say that in 5 hours time I probably have put this apartment into the best shape of it's life, but all this bull--- should've been taken care of to begin prior to my arrival. A brand new elevator has been put in with the other one finally undergoing maintance which the management office says won't be complete for 3 weeks ! Hallways smell like ---- and the front doors are paper thin. I could punch a hole right through it if I wanted to! Again, these are all the known problems and headaches I had to deal with already and I've only had the place for about a week. I can already tell this year is going to be a blast living at Trolley Square Apartments.....
