not the greatest From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 6/7/2003 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003   Prior to moving in I was told that the apartment was going to be cleaned, trim would be caulked and painted as well as the balcony. I asked about this because the demo apartment was lacking in these areas, particuarly with the baseboard and balcony. I put down a reservation fee which I beleive was to cover cleaning, etc. I moved in and the apartment was filthy. There was food and grease all over the stove, cabinetry, floor and walls, in the kitchen. The floor around and underneath the fridge and stove looked as though ot hadn't ever been touched. The insides of the cabinets were filthy, as well. The walls throughout the apartment were never cleaned and were just painted over. There was and still is pubic hair painted into the walls in the bathroom, especially around the toilet and bathtub area and inside the medicine cabinet. They didn't think to clean the baseboard so all the collected dust and dirt that had accumulated was painted into the walls. The basebard wasn't even touched and when asked about this I was told that they don't paint baseboard because they might get paint on the carpet! Hello! You ever heard of a drop cloth, morons'' The balcony was in horrible shape. Raw wood and flaky paint. The windows sills and around the windows were molded and never cleaned nor painted. All the doors throughout were painted with a semi-gloss. They didn't bother to protect the walls - which are flat - when spraying the doors so there is about a foot of semi gloss over flat paint around all the doors. The carpet was stained and filthy. The lenolium in the kitchen and bath is torn and frayed. The counter top in the kitchen is losing it's seam and rising on one side of the joint. The bath faucets leak and one is stripped and doens't stop turning. I could go on and on. I confronted the front office and it wasn't until then they decided to clean my apartment - after I had moved in. I had to paint the baseboard myself and I bought my own paint to paint the deck with. The pubic hair, among other things, are still there. I pay 705 a month, some pay more or less for the same apartment. This place has tons of potential but no one cares. I've had good experiences with one the maintenance guys. He means well and does good work. But he follows direction of a half ass outfit so he's not to blame for anything.
