Dominion Olde West Apartments

The WORST rental experience I have ever had. From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 7/16/2005 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004   I have to admit...I have read a bunch of these reviews thinking that people were just being unreasonable, but my experience with United Dominion makes me understand some of the things that people say. The Cons: #1. The carpet was dirty when we moved in. If I were a rental company I would at least make an attempt to make the place look clean. #2. The toilet constantly got clogged...even using as little toilet paper as possible. #3. The apartment had more bugs than I was aware even existed. Granted, I did live on the first floor (which was my husband's decison) but there were more bugs in that apartment then anyone could be comfortable with. The bug people were not quick to respond and even when they did it did not even put a dent in the bugs. Just for the skeptics, I have OCD about cleaning...these were not roaches or other dirty bugs, but silverfish, and lots and lots of earwigs. #4. I felt like my upstairs neighbors lived with us. Dominion was not very good about helping us resolve this issue. #5. The straw that broke the camel's back...I got pregnant unexpectedly when I lived in this apt. We wanted to move into a three bedroom...we offered to move into another one of their locations, finish our lease and then sign another year lease...AND THEY REFUSED. Bad, Bad Business...we broke our lease and moved out. #6. They were always rude when I talked to them, never called when we had packages,...and the list goes on. #7. Too much money for what you deal with. #8. If you value your safety don't move here...there were always shady people walking around at night. The pros: #1. The apartment was big.
