First of all when I first moved into the apartment the cabinets in the kitchen were down right FILTHY! After a couple of days the dirt started coming out of the carpet-I had to steam clean it. I have been living in the apartment for a little over a year. I have been complaining about one of the bedroom vents not working, it is extremely hot in the summer and extremely cold in the winter. The maintenance mans explanation for this is that I need to close the bathroom vents-well what if I want heat/air in the bathrooms' I have called over 10 times about this - problem still not fixed. Also, the lease that I signed said one thing and what they had on file said another. My lease says that I have to the 5th of each month to pay rent, but what they have on file says the rent must be paid by the 3rd. I got charged a late rent for paying the rent on the 5th. When it was time to renew my lease I was told that with the new lease comes bathroom and kitchen renovations. Everything was renovated in the bathroom, except the bathtub. The bathtub looks like they have just been painting it over and over. Now the paint is wearing off and it looks terrible. The kitchen renovation simply included new cabinets. Well I got charged late rent for not paying $3 for the kitchen upgrade. With the signing of the new lease the rent went up $40 -- now I'm thinking that is what the $40 was for. Nevertheless, I would not have cared about paying $3 extra - only if someone what have called me and told me, wrote a letter, sent a note. The hallways are extremely filthy. I hate to invite people over because they have to walk through what looks like the slum to get to my apartment. Overall very very poor management!
