Nice to look at, harder to live in...

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2003
I was there for two years, the first of which was great. The development itself is beautiful; lots of trees, jogging trail in the woods, big pool, etc. The apartments are also nice, spacious and well-kept. Its the people who drive you insane. Everything was fine until the second year, when, I believe, they came under new management. Complaints about neighbors went unanswered (a drunk neighbor, cruising down the street at a peaceful 50mph [speed limit is 10], missed the turn and blew tires out when he plowed over the curb; neighbors above set the building and shrubs and fire by throwing lit cigarettes off the balcony, and continued to do it until 4 calls were made to management about it; domestic disputes - which are mentioned specifically as grounds for eviction - caused the cops to show up countless times, once after the entire door had been broken down; and on and on), and personal visits to management to complain were often met rudely and in a confrontational manner.
In short, as long as things are going well you?ll like it at DWE. But if things go badly, expect absolutely no help from management. Once those rent checks come in, youre on your own...
