The bottom line on The Estates is that it is simply not worth what is being charged. Here's my take:
Construction Quality/Design: Like most new construction, these apartments are built with cheap materials and shoddy workmanship. Everything seems to be on a slant. The top part of the windows keep sliding down. The AC just isn't up to the job of cooling a two-story apartment. Some light switches are on the inside of a room (like in the closet) some on the outside (like one of the bathrooms) - interesting. But there is good sound insulation between units.
Management: The management staff is so disorganized (I could write pages about that). Maintenance has yet to leave a note indicating they were in my apartment - as they're supposed to. Unfortunately lack of quality management is typical in most apartment communities - Estates is no worse than usual.
Landscaping/Parking: There are a lot of brown patches in the grass and too many weeds for an apartment complex that charges so much. The 'park' next to the apartments is suitable for your finest low-income housing projects. There isn't enough parking for the number of units. The parking lots have way too many blind corners.
