So far I love it!

I am reading the reviews and can't quite comprehend why some are so negative. I attribute it primarily to the fact that they moved in right upon completion. The complex is very new, but now that it has stabilized it seems fabulous to me.

There are some quirks, but i have to admit they are nominal and the pluses heavily outweigh. The thermostat on the top floor is odd, but not to tough to deal with. The fans coming on when you turn on bathroom light was also odd, but no big deal once you are used to it. The light switches are in odd places, but again, a small minor thing.

Now for the pluses. It is like living in a country club. The amenities are posh. That clubhouse is amazing! Billiard room, state of the art gym, media room....activities. It is amazing. Fitness classes offered for different levels of experience.

The moldings and trim in the townhomes are beautiful. Not standard in apartments I can tell you. Hardwood floors in the dining room, GORGEOUS bay window...the light that comes in all of the windows is very nice.

The kitchen has new, stainless steel appliances and beautiful new cabinetry. Nine foot ceilings...everything put in these townhomes was top of the line. I lived in another "luxury" community further west end that was very very cheap in comparison. Even the light fixtures they chose here are very nice. Track lighting over the bar area.

Now on to the living room. At first i didn't think i would care for the electric fireplace. But after living in an apt with a real one, i can honestly say the clean up began to outweigh the benefit. My friends didn't even know it was not real until they saw me turn it on and off by the remote.

The bedrooms are extremely spacious. Another plus is having the master bedroom on the first floor. This is something I could not find in many townhomes for rent in richmond, and i searched them all.

Yes, the rent is a bit high. But I have weighed the amenities and the townhome itself against others that are the same size and comparable location. None of the others stacked up. I searched every townhome community with townhomes for rent in the west end area. This one came up on top in all of the categories I deemed very important. The grounds are well kept, and the place is VERY pet friendly which is a huge plus for me. All along the property are "pet clean up stations". I think that is very nice.

I do not know why complaints were made against the staff. The activities director is extremely nice, as are the office staff. I have not had one complaint about the way anything was handled during my move in to present. The person who is acting as Apt Mgr at this time is extremely friendly and helpful.

I also have to comment on parking. Maybe it is the buildings these guys are in, but I have never had an issue with not being able to park right in front of my sidewalk.

Since I am not ready to buy just yet, this place has been the next best thing. I feel like i am living in house I bought vs rent.

I love it here. So far so good!!! :)
