Estates At Horsepen Sucks!! Don't Live Here!!

I've lived here for the past 6 months (having lived in several other apartment complexes) and let me say, the Estates at Horsepen is nothing more than an overpriced ghetto with poor management and cheaply built apartments where residents sweat to death in the summer and freeze in the winter. (Don't believe me, read the other reviews of this place and they'll tell you the same thing - its currently 60 degrees outside and 85 degrees in my upstairs bedroom...and I don't have the heat even turned on!) Everyone in my area complains about the same issue. My shoebox of an apartment in the city was a better place to live than this dump. (I wish I could go back there)

There were stains all over the wall and carpeting when we first moved in. I ask to have the carpets at least resteamed and management said no. Personally, I have no idea why management even exists because they do NOTHING to help you, but instead watch and harass you like you are a child. Saying they watch you is an understatement. ----, in the leasing office is a douche bag who spends his whole day sending out complaint letters of various kinds to the residents. It's like he has a video camera on your apartment. Don't make the mistake of putting too many boxes in your dumpster or leaving a plastic bag on your patio because Big Bad ---- will find you and threaten you. (------- at the leasing office is cool...if you need help, she is the only one who you can go to)

24-hour maintenance is a JOKE! It takes them days to get back to you if you are lucky. I always had to place several phone calls to follow up with maintenance requests only to later be lied to as they tried to cover their butts by saying they tried calling me and left me a message.

Good luck trying to meet your neighbors. We had two guys from "Night at the Roxbury" living next to us who blasted techno music at all hours...and some crazy Scientologists live across the street.

There are vacant apartments everywhere. Hopefully people are getting the hint that this place is a Pinto disguised as a Mercedes. Some new kitchen appliances aren't worth the $1300 that you will pay to live in this dump.
