I have been at Gateway since May 2005 and have plans of leaving in May 2008. Overall I have been understanding of some of the problems encountered because like I mentioned the prices are reasonable. I have had leaks in my ceiling for 2 years and squirrels have nested in the ceiling directly above my bed. I notified maintenance and after hiring a contractor to remove the squirrels they returned within weeks. I just deal with them now because I dont want to have them killed but it can be embarrassing when neighbors come over. The first year the pool opened a few weeks behind schedule which sucked because we could not make plans at the last minute to get a hotel at the beach on Memorial Day weekend. The people are friendly around me, but often there is noise around me in the summer because I live next to the car wash station and people have stereos that shake my wall. It is convenient to most locations and I moved here as a bachelor so overall I deal with the problems. Withine the first month I was here I woke up and went outside and there was a car sitting on concrete blocks because someone had stolen the rims. My neighbor had her car broken into and there is also gang graffiti spray painted on the fence around the dumpster. We called the office and they neglected to fix it so I took that into my own hands and painted over it myself. It is not cool to have friend come over and the fence next to your car says "Crips" and "Blood Killer". I figure it is just local kids, but overall be careful if you choose to move here
