I made a huge mistake to rent at Hickory Creek.

The apartments are old and in need of a serious facelift. Our washer and dryer are products of 1984. The refrigerator has rust spots all over the inside and outside of it, and despite three calls to maintenance, nothing was ever done. When it rains, the entire kitchen smells of wet mold, probably rooted up inside the walls or in the floor -- it is disgusting. The walls and floors are paper-thin, and the rude person above me actually has the audacity to stomp on the floor when she hears the slightest bit of noise from our place (let alone her obnoxious dog, which is seemingly always barking).

The staff often shut the office down early for no apparent reason. If you have a UPS or FedEx package shipped to the apartment, it automatically is dropped off in a closet in the office. If you work until 5:00 like most people, and get back at 5:30, you'd like to be able to get in there and get your package before they close at the slated time of 6:00, right' Well, if they feel like locking up at 5:25, you're just out of luck. Too bad. I can't believe how unprofessional that is. Oh, and when you do pick up your package, nobody checks your ID or anything -- you just walk in, take it, and leave. That's right, ANYBODY could take your package. Don't have anything you value shipped there.

The overall type of person living in these apartments has also steadily declined. What was once young professionals driving SUVs is now construction workers driving huge white Ford vans and pick-up trucks filled with dirty wheelbarrows.

Seriously, this place was such a disappointment. Look elsewhere, as there are many to choose from in this area.
