Talk about privacy invasion....

My family lived at these apartments for almost two years, and while the buildings were nice enough and all, the management never seemed to leave you alone.
They'd come in for inspections twice a year, which I didn't mind if they were just checking the smoke detectors and other equipment, but one year they issued us a citation for having an "unauthorized wall hanging" over our kitchen window. (It was a nice Indian tapestry that we'd used for a curtain in a previous apartment.) Now, there is a thing in the lease that you can only have curtains up that have neutral backing, but lots of our neighbors broke this rule. It was easy enough to see when I was out for morning walks. Their curtains were just more traditional, and they never had to take them down.
They also only gave me a day's notice to fix my car, when it had failed inspection, before they said they'd have it towed. They called on my birthday to tell me this.
And they threaten to terminate your lease if you feed the stray cats who live in the parking lot. I had hoped to catch, spay, and release them. There are A LOT of stray cats, and they're in really wretched shape. And I think it's just awful that residents aren't allowed to help them. (After dark, you can sometimes see people sneaking outside with paper plates of cat food.) :)
Oh, and when we put in our notice and requested that we be present for the final inspection, they wouldn't allow us to come.
But for all that, most of the neighbors are nice. And I did feel safe there. So if you don't mind invasive, nosy management ... well, it might be the place for you. I'm just glad we finally had the money to buy a house. g-hKOS7s4Nq5n3hEIpHd

I'm seriously thinking of moving into these apartments in the future (summer or early fall). I have also heard that they don't allow you to burn candles in your apartment! I've never heard of this anywhere! Is this true?

That is in the lease (or at least, it was when I lived there), but I never had anyone say anything about it. I totally agree with the reviewer about the invasion of privacy. It seemed like someone from management or maintenance was always in there (without being called) for something. Usually it was to change a filter or check the smoke detector, and that's no big deal. But often it was for a more generic "inspection". And even when they were there to check filters or smoke detectors they look at other things, too. One example of this: I don't clean the oven within hours of each and every use. Once they came in to check the smoke detector and the next day I had a note talking about the "unsanitary conditions" in the apartment. The only "unsanitary condition" they specifically noted was "oven needs cleaning" and said they would be sending someone to inspect the apartment within 24 hours, and that I could be put on some type of probation (i forget the exact wording) if they found problems during that inspection. I thought this was absurd but gave the oven a quick once-over and went to sleep (I worked overnight at the time and was tired). A woman from the office woke me up when she came in for the inspection. I grunted but stayed in bed. She stayed there about 5 minutes then, on her way out, apologized and said she had no idea why they'd sent her in the first place and everything was fine. I didn't deal with the office much after that, but they did beg me to stay when I told them I was leaving. Probably because four other people in that building gave their notices in the same month.
