My husband and I thought, Mary, the leasing agent, was very nice. However, the application process was ridiculous--we felt like we were signing our life away. Had to get several pages notarized. We inquired about a washer/dryer in the apartment, and that would cost us $120 extra/month! There weren't even hookups for us to bring our own. The last straw was when the manager started giving us the 3rd degree about our application and accused us of trying to lease an apartment so that others could live there. She suggested we look elsewhere....Don't worry, we already had!

I agree with you that Mary is pleasant as well as several other of the employees. The manager is the owners' wife and daughter-in-law so she does what she pleases which is to be intrusive, offensive and downright unhelpful. She doesn't care whether you move in or not and/or whether there are lots of empty apartments. There are many elderly folks living in these apartments. Many can't afford to move. There are so many more negatives than positives that I will be happy when I can afford to leave.
