Huguenot Apartments is a terrible place to live. The office staff is not helpful and are extremely nosy. The staff will enter your apartment without permission or notice.
The actual living quarters are in shambles. Our roof was leaky from day one and during several storms, our ceiling began to bulge and crumble from water damage. Maintenance would tell us that they would fix it, and instead, they patched the holes and painted over the stains. The roof was fixed over 4 months after our original complaint. The buildings are dirty and have termites and silverfish.
We chose an apartment with older appliances in order to save money each month. I advise against this. The gas stove's pilot light consistently goes out, leaving the apartment smelling like gas and maintenance discourages calls to report the problem. The knobs also fall off the stove. The laundry machines eat quarters but the staff in the office does nothing to fix this and neither does the company which owns the machines.
The pool is rarely open on time and has poor hours. The grounds are fairly well taken care of, but who cares when the buildings are falling apart'
Overall, my recommendation is to FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO LIVE!

I too used to live in Huguenopt Apts. (for two years). I would discourage anyone from moving there. They just like to take your money and provide minimal service. Yes, the staff is extremely nosey, and they rummage through your apartments when you're not home. I know this because I was friends with many of the maitenance staff, and they used to tell me how they would take things from tenants when they go in to the apartments for maintenance calls. Sarah Klein, the Property Manager, is a greedy and does all that she can to take as much of the tenant money as possible, while providing the most minimal service allowed. She bullies the tenants into not filing complaints, by harrasing and threating. Her scare tactics work against the elderly, which makes up the majority of the tenants there, but for anyone who tries to fight bacj - she makes your tenancy a living hell. I'm glad to see that someone else saw through the lies. It's a shame that this property is run by such a snake - because the complex is located in a very good area and the rent was reasonable - but the heachache is just not worth it. If you want to live in peace - live somewhere ELSE.

I have already posted a review on here, but I'm so glad to know that other people have gone through what I have at Huguenot Apartments. I could not be happier to leave this place and strongly discourage anyone from renting there. I feel horrible for the elderly people who live there and are bullied by management.

I have learned that the manager is wife/daughter-in-law to the owner so she can do whatever she pleases and yes, she is a bully and does nothing to resolve complaints with other tenants. If I can afford to move next year I will do so despite the fact that I liked having free gas utilities and being so close to work and shopping. It's not worth it overall.
