Hunt Club Apartments

Ridiculous!!!! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 7/17/2007 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007 2 responses   I just wanted to write this to try to inform anyone who may be renting here, or attempting to rent here to STAY AWAY! Before I moved to Hunt Club I wish I would have known about this website because it would have saved A LOT of grief and absolute anger! My fiance and I have been residents at Hunt Club for almost a year now and the first month was alright, but then you really get to know what you have got yourself into! Management absolutely LOVES you before you move in! But as soon as they have your money, you don't exist! I should have known that these apartments weren't a good choice when they had scheduled us to move in, then the day came and they hadn't cleaned our carpets, the apartment, or our hardwood floors (if thats what you call them)! And the excuse from the people in the office, "Oh! Well I told maintenance to do it, and they said they did!" The "managers" in the office are NEVER there! They NEVER answer the phone and when you leave a message they NEVER return your call! These apartments are old, EXTREMELY DIRTY, and full of roaches! We have had to complain and get our apartment sprayed twice for roaches, and it did not work! They need to spray the whole building!!! Let me put it this way....my dog lives with my Mother right now because I was afriad she would get sick living in this disgusting place! So think about yuor children if you have them, or are going to and live here! Don't get me wrong, I realize that apartments are just that...apartments. So I know that none of them are perfect! But when I sign a lease and have to pay $800 a month for something, I expect it to be clean when I move in! MY fiance and I had to spend a significant amount of time trying to clean this apartment like it should have been! They don't look after and take care of ANYTHING here! These apartments are nothing but a DUMP! It is now July and our apartment is about 85 degrees right now and we have our AC fully on, at the lowest possible temperature! So if you want to try to escape the heat and retreat to your "home" you can't do it here! Mind you it is 7:00 at night right now! At 6:30 in the morning it is close to 90 degrees! The AC here may as well be non-existent! Numerous attempts to get it fixed have, as usual, gone un-answered! The electricity goes on and off ALL the time! It went off three times within an hour this morning! So if you like having to constantly reset clocks, rush to shower and get ready, and hope that you can cook dinner, then by all means Hunt Club is for you! They also feel that they have the right to raise your rent $20 for whatever reason they come up with! I just cannot stress to anyone enough how awful, disgusting, and ridiculous this place is to live! Its an absolute embarrassment! You aren't going to want to invite anyone over, and even if you do, they won't have anywhere to park! There are drugs EVERYWHERE and the maintenance men look like they are all fresh out of prison! Some of you may not believe me or may not want to, but I just thought I could try to help at least one couple or person in not making the mistake I made, had I have known a year ago how this place was! Our lease is up in 3 months and we can't get out of here quicker!
