Have lived in 4 different apartments since arriving in Richmond, and this one is definitely the best. Location is excellent - sure, Bandito's bar is right outside and that can get noisy, but I feel way safer here and have way fewer problems than living on Southside (the Museum District is actually pretty safe - and most awesomely, fewer VCU students out this way)

The apartment manager (Richard) is a star and takes good care of his tenants. We had a major flood in our apartment (not the complex's fault) early weekend morning, and he was out immediately to organize cleanup, repairs, replacing carpet and spraying for mold etc. We were able to move back into the apartment within less than a week.

The apartments aren't standard shapes - this is a converted hospital - which is probably the only downside. Our 2 bedroom has an odd-shaped living room. But facilities are good. Maintenance guys are also amazing and very nice people! Parking is fine, even if the occasional douchebag takes it on himself to park in the disabled spot when his only disability is being too dang lazy to walk. Can hear the neighbors sometimes but nothing bad. Being able to control heat and A/C for individual apartment is awesome :-) Rent can be quite high but a good portion of that is location, Museum District is close to everything. Cary St and Broad are a few blocks away, Ukrops, Kroger, everything is nearby. Not much room for a garden but what's there is well kept.
