Okay, I just moved into this place a month ago. Here are the negatives and positives:

Negatives -
1. Parking. If you're used to being able to park in front of your door, don't expect to be able to. Ever. Even with your reserved parking tag. Luckily I don't mind walking half a block, but for someone with kids or a disability, this would be a huge problem.

2. Questionable apartment construction. I've had some problems, like a broken window and some outlets not working correctly. And I live in a renovated unit. First occupant since renovation.

3. Hot water. Lack thereof. Enough said.

4. Dryer takes FOREVER to dry a load. Like 2 hours to dry a regular sized load of laundry. I think it's because it's electric' It looks like a nice enough dryer, but I'm used to gas appliances.

Positives:
1. So far, maintenance has been great in responding to my issues.

2. The apartment is visually very appealing. There are few places where some things were done a little shoddily, but it's a nice layout and the bedrooms are a nice size. It would be nice to have a walk-in closet in the master bedroom.

3. Neighbors. My neighbors have been nothing but pleasant. It is so quiet almost all the time that I feel like I'm in a single family house.

4. Lots of bathrooms!

I just got my first electric bill, and yeah it was a bit high, but no higher than running heat on a gas furnace. It was about $150 for the month, but it's also been 15 degrees out every night.

The biggest issue for me has been the parking. There are some townhouses that face city streets. I'd urge you to go with one of those if you can because you'll actually be able to have guests come visit!

I went with this property because I got two months of free rent and no deposit. So my prorated rent was only around $880, which isn't bad for a renovated 2-bed townhouse.

I couldn't kiss Mr. W's ass--it's a little too old.

Um, how am I kissing anyone's ass? There are things I like and things I don't. My neighbors have lived in the community for five years, so apparently not everyone hates this place. I do see a lot of people moving out, but the apartments are filled again almost immediately.
