Where to begin:
1) I am a young single ----- girl and am CLEARLY the minority in this complex. I have 2 small dogs and don't even feel comfortable taking them out at night for all of the thug looking guys roaming around at all hours of the night. They are usually standing on the street corners talking on their cell phones waiting for drug deals to go down.
2) THE NOISE!!!!! I thought being in a townhouse and being on an end unit (only having neighbors on 1 side) would mean much less noise... boy was I WRONG!!! Every regular apartment I have ever had was quieter than this place. I can hear my neighbors television upstairs and down. Their surround sound vibrates my walls and they stomp up and down the stairs CONSTANTLY!
3) Not AT ALL energy efficient. I try to keep it somewhat cool in the winter in my place, and I only have the lights on in the room I am in. My electric bill last month was $158!!! These places are ridiculously OLD and drafty.
4) Parking is HORRIBLE!! We only have 10 spots in my lot and 2 are handicapped. A nearby neighbor has 3 handicapped vehicles and him and his wife ARE NOT HANDICAPPED! Being over-weight does not constitute a handicap. Get on a tread-mill! My grandfather is paralyzed and can't ever come visit b/c the spots are ALWAYS taken. And I am constantly have to park on the street.

Bottom Line: I don't at all feel safe. This place is beyond GHETTO! I have 2 vehicles and one is a new convertible and sticks out in a sea of old beat-up cars, I am just waiting for someone to cut the top. (Made sure I have good insurance) Luckily I only signed a 6 month lease and stay w/ my boyfriend or family whenever possible.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know where you are living, but it must not be Kings Crossing. It sounds like you need a reality check and get over your "young single ----- girl" mentality. The community is not perfect, but it's not nearly as terrible as you make it out to be.
