My fiance and I moved here last September. It has been the most horrible experience of our renting lives!! Yes, the location is good, but that is about where the plus's end. This community is like living in public housing, except for $1100 dollars a month!! Being a white family we are by far the minority, which is really not a problem, the problem is the quality of people that they allow to live in this community...trash!! That is what you will find here...trash! We have had horrible problems with constant noise, screaming children at all hours in the parking lot. We have had mice, horrible ant problem and mold. We are pretty sure that at least 4 of the units in our section deal drugs to pay for the rent, the others allow 6 people to live in a 2 bedroom to make sure the bills are paid. My car was hit in the middle of the night after someone drove home and backed into it drunk. We have had the cops here for domestic issues, noise complaints, you name it. I refuse to get out of my car and walk to the apartment at night. My fiance has too meet me at the door and watch me walk in because I feel so unsafe here. If you want to live in the most ghetto place in West Richmond than this is for you. But really think about it. We have rented for 10 years and have never written a review on any place we have ever lived. But I wish that I had had someone tell me how bad this place was. I wish I had read the reviews on this website and realized that they are so true. The people that say it is a nice place to live probably are the neighbors that have made living here so horrible. BEWARE!!!!

What would make you think I work here? Just because I have something positive to say about the property? Any resident who likes their community will defend it, especially when it's being called "slums." I don't live in the "slums." I live in the best kept secret of the West End.

Be careful concerning the mouse problem. If a mouse is poisoned in another apartment, it will be looking for water and could end up in your apartment if you leave water in a pet dish. We will never be able to tell whether our fox terrier got very sick (and eventually had to be put to sleep) from those batards in China with the dog food or from drinking out of his water dish (it was determined he had lepto which people can get and die very slowly because it is hard to detect). If I ever see another mouse in my apartment I am moving! (I live in a different city but I am familiar with KC.) Let them come after me--we can meet in court, along with the health department.

ok...no resident describes their community as "the best kept secret..." At least TRY to pretend you don't work here... As for the person who is complaining, the "office staff worker" is right. You may need to buy a home. That won't get rid of the crime you are talking about but maybe you can sleep at night thinking that maybe it will.
