My spouse and I have lived in Lakefield Mews for almost two years and we truly adore our community. Echoing some of the previous reviews, the management and maintenance team are kind-hearted and diligent individuals. They truly attempt to address any issues as quickly as possible. We have wonderful neighbors, who are courteous and quiet. In fact, that was the primary reason for moving here. I attend graduate school in another state and thought that living there was an overwhelming experience. I decided to move back home to Richmond and commute and needed to find a place that was conducive to my study demands. Lakefield Mews was a perfect match! There have been other reviews complaining about the "urban culture" here, but we live around several other peoples of color whose backgrounds are quite diverse and most manage to be respectful and courteous to one another. In the older section of the development, the appliances are a little dated and the windows have a tendency to have heavy condensation during the winter months, but that is something which is tolerable. Living on the bottom level, I must say that we can hear every step taken by our neighbor living above us, which can be a bit annoying at night, but if you do not have a fidgety neighbor there is nothing about which to worry. In our opinion, this is a wonderful living space that lends itself to nice walks around the lake as well as the complex. In the words of Ms. Angie (a member of the managament staff): "Lakefield Mews is a wonderful place to call home."
